Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner is known as an American reality TV star, and a fashion designer. She’s also has a very successful business known as kylie cosmetics. In July of 2018, Forbes magazine named her Americas Richest Self Made Women at only the age of 20. You can only imagine how often she uses her social media other than the fact she didn’t post for almost 9 months due to her pregnancy that no one knew about.
Facebook: Kylie doesn’t have her own personal account, it’s based on her brand Kylie Cosmetics. It gives everyone who follow the page updates on restocks, new products dropping and more. 22,121,476 people follow this page and it was created in 2011. In almost every post Kylie includes pictures of her products and post almost everyday. https://www.facebook.com/pg/KylieJenner/posts/?ref=page_internal on kylies posts you can see mostly positive feedback.
Twitter: https://twitter.com/KylieJenner?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
Kylie Frequently posts on her twitter account mostly about her brand, but unlike her facebook page she posts pictures, and also uses it to interact with her fanbase. As of right now Kylie has 27.2 million followers on twitter, and only follows 1,100. She has 13,100 tweets and has liked 372 posts. Her profile picture is a close up of her and her banner is an up close picture of her eyes trying to advertise her product. The only thing in her bio is a link to her website. Kylie mostly favorites fans tweeting at her telling her how much they love her makeup.
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kyliejenner/
Kylie jenner has over 135 million followers on Instgram. She follows 127 people and has almsot 6,000 posts on instagram. She is one of the most followed celebrities on this app. Her most popular video on her page is the video of her pregnancy.
Conclusion: Overall, I believe Twitter is where Kylie Jenner can interact with her audience more, and recieve feedback on her products. While on instagram I believe it is the most appealing because it has more pictures, content, and is probably the most used by the celebrity.
Case study #3
For this case study I chose to analyze “Advice from a 20 something” by Amanda Holstein. Amanda chose to start this blog by helping anyone in life who felt lost, or out of place. After she graduated from Emory University, she began writing to reach out to adults who were also going through a difficult time. In her “About me” section on the homepage of her blog, she states “I’m not exactly who you’d expect to turn to, considering I am the youngest in my family, they’re always watching.” As I can relate to this, growing up being the youngest has always had it benefits, and its downfalls. Observing from others successes, as well as their mistakes. I felt this blog was perfect to observe and the most relatable to me.
The layout of the blog is very modern. The Author has created her own logo
The Author has multiple sections of her blog along with pictures that describe the different types of blog posts. Ranging from “3 ways to make your trip more memorable” to “3 ways I managed to get out of my depression.” I believe Amanda’s blog attracts kids in their college years and even older because many kids in college go through a period of their life where they feel lost, out of place, and feeling like they don’t belong. All photos in her blog are taken and owned by the author herself. All and all I believe the blog has a very good concept, and is very helpful to those who are looking for advice. When you first enter the blog, a post pops up asking to “stay in touch” with her, making you enter your email for updates on different blog posts and subscribing to her. This is a good way to interact with your audience. Amanda also has all her social media accounts linked to her blog so she can interact with a wider audience other than just her page. This months popular links were “five ways to unwind after work”, “Tackling the question why aren’t you married?”, and, “How to know you’re in a controlling relationship.”
Overall, this blog is very well put together, and I can’t think of anything I would do differently. Amanda has managed to become successful words, and her relate-able posts from her past experiences.
SOFTBALL
Softball has always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was able to hold a bat I spent almost all my free time at the fields. As a kid, sports consumed most of my life. There’s no better feeling than being a part of a team, and of course winning but, as I got older I realized I couldn’t continue playing for other people or to please them. I had to play for me, and my love for the game. Everyone who plays or has played a sport can probably see where I’m coming from. It’s not easy, you will face so much rejection, and so much criticism throughout your career as an athlete. But let me tell you, it’s so much more than that. I couldn’t tell you how many games I’ve won, or lost, or even the score of them. But I can tell you about the girls, and inspiring coaches I’ve met along the way. Bottom line is, being an athlete is so much more than being competitive, and trying to win every game you play. You can’t let anyone ruin this experience for you, because one day you’ll hang up your jersey, bat, glove ect and you won’t ever step foot on a field again. My advice to anyone who is playing a sport, play for the little girl/boy who once fell in love with it. You wont regret it. #athlete #softball #motivation
